going to tioman is REALLY an adventure itself.

“i hope nothing at the airport shocks me tomorrow.”

i said that in the previous post.

and guess what?

i got a call from the airport at 12.45pm informing me that my flight will be delayed for an hour.

“will it be delayed again?”

“nope!”, was the confident reply.

.

.

.

we were set to fly off at 4pm (time after 1 hour delay). at 4.10pm, i was still sitting at the departure hall.

strange.

we were then informed in the most casual manner that our flight has been

CANCELLED!

haha.

i was half laughing and half huh-ing because the whole situation was so amusing. surprisingly, everyone was pretty calm except for one couple because the hotel refused to cancel their room booking.

well, jenice and i had a few options

1. wait for the next available flight which is a day later

2. cancel the trip and spend our 3D2N in some other places

– batam

– siloso beach resort, sentosa

we called some office in malaysia and cancelled our trip and checked into siloso beach resort immediately.

it’s amazing how seamless the whole process was.

i’m not disappointed the trip was cancelled because we enjoyed ourselves very much in sentosa. i thought it was a great time to spend it at sentosa. i mean, it’s august – our little island’s birthday month –  can’t think of a better time to enjoy and explore sentosa. this feeling was made more poignant when national day songs were played all over and over again in some parts of sentosa.

on hindsight, the flight cancellation was one too many blessing in one disguise.
