chloé : the goddess of bloom

boys over flowers

Posted in girl things, television by chloe on November 1, 2009

i am intentionally slow when it comes to watching idol dramas. i only like to watch it when everyone else is done with it.

haha.

i’m watching the korean version now and i must say it’s so much better than the taiwan version. the japanese version was not attractive at all so i didn’t watch much of it.

i must say, lee min ho (joon-pyo) is so adorable/gorgeous.

from the japanese anime to the taiwan version, the moody boy who plays the violin has always been my favourite.

maybe age is catching up with me but damn, i’m all for the lee min ho’s character. i think his portrayal of the famous F4 leader is more endearing and sweet.

and if i had a boyfriend, i want him to be like joon-pyo and not ji-hoo.

wow…so it took me so many years to get over the attraction of emo boys like ji-hoo!

:D

bleached sunday!

Posted in television by chloe on March 16, 2009

i woke up at 11am.

had brunch.

watched 3 episodes of bleach.

went to visit grandma.

watched another 10 episodes of bleach until 6pm.

kurosaki ichigo rocks.

another 10 more episodes and i would have zero bleach backlogs.

the legend of heroes shooting condors.

i really like ariel lin’s portrayal of rong’er in 射雕英雄传. can’t say the same for guo’er though.

i spend my weekend evenings watching the drama on channel u.  makes me want to take out my “the legend of condor heroes” dvd box set and re-watch the whole series again.

it’s amusing how after so many tv production of this same story, they still can’t get the condor correct -  it’s always too fake, too funny or too computerised.

why ah?

gossip girl

Posted in television by chloe on December 6, 2008

i watched 15 episodes of it and i must say me loves it! i can’t really decide who i like more because i like most of the characters except blair and jenny who are both soooo annoying.

i love dan because he resembles john mayer in appearances and talking style. i love chuck bass because this morally bankrupt boy has so much class - he is so funny and so misunderstood. nate is so good to look at – he is drop dead gorgeous. (zac efron who?). and serena – gosh i love blake lively – she is so free spirited and beautiful - i love how she is always there for blair no matter what happens.

gossip girl really reminds me of the oc, another show which i love.

you know dan reminds me of seth cohen of the oc. nate reminds me of ryan. serena reminds me of marissa and blair reminds me of summer because they looked so similar!

can’t wait for my last paper to be over so i can catch up on the remaining episodes!

back in the arms of kurosaki ichigo

Posted in television, work by chloe on September 20, 2008

i’m finally back to watching Bleach after stopping for 5 months – i must say i still love this show very much. it helps that syaiful and vincent loves it a lot too – it’s quite boring to watch and have no one to discuss it with.

i feel spiritually, mentally and emotionally powerful when ichigo says BANKAI – it is very liberating – like in that one second i am suddenly lifted to another state of mind and everything is not impossible because i can cut all obstacles into pieces with my BANKAI-ed sword.

that’s why i now have this word in my msn moniker – i need all the power now to battle it out with the deadlines. isn’t it apt to know that every project at work now ends with the world WAR – i think they use that word because it is a tough journey ahead and they want to bring out the fighting spirit in us. everytime i see the word “war”, i feel like i’m on a special mission and it keeps me focused.

i guess they know how to get me going and i need to keep myself going – and visualising ichigo or me dressed in a black robe and shouting BANKAI with all the resolve in the world helps.

so i will keep shouting in my head until the day i put all those deadlines and backlogs behind me.

my all time favourite korean drama, my all time favourite song

damn. i feel like watching it all over again.

they kissed again

Posted in television by chloe on April 8, 2008

i was madly in love with jiang zhi shu in dec06.

now that the follow up series to “it started with a kiss” is up in youtube, i am reminded of how much i love the character joe cheng plays.

*beams*

i agree that the union of this 2 will hardly happen in reality but there’s still so much more to learn from the show. i think just watching the 2 maintain and grow the relationship is a good love lesson for all.

seriously, when are they going to get out of hueco mondo?

i’m so tired of seeing espadas in every episode.

the invasion of the soul society arc was seriously a lot better.

coffee prince

Posted in television by chloe on March 2, 2008

finished watching “coffee prince” yesterday. i love it!

it’s a wonderful story of friendship, family, dreams and love. it has been a long while since i cried over tv. (i was feeling a bit nervous when everyone was balling their eyes off over ps i love you and all i felt throughout the show was annoyance towards hilary swank.) i guess my heart is still around.

the acting is superb. the dialogue is so real. the soundtrack is full of indie emo music. the decor of the cafe and the characters homes are so nice, laidback and artsy. the clothes worn are simple and romantic. the casting is excellent. gosh. i can’t find anything to dislike about the show. everything is just so refreshing.

it’s nice to know that a great drama has got nothing to do with babes and hunks. everyone in the show is not just a pretty face. they charmed my socks off. i think having a female director makes all the difference. haha.

i’m looking around for the soundtrack. found it on yesasia and it cost US $19. :| let’s hope i find can find a cheaper version locally.
