gladiator sandals
i bought myself a pair today.
to those who say as the magazines do (but summer is going to be over soon!), chill, chill because all your love and respect for fashion will not bring winter to singapore.
is it me, or does gladiator sandals really look like the underneath of cockroaches? i was very put off by most of them…those that were real classy looking didn’t come in my size but my relentless in getting one pair resulted in me repeatedly telling myself that ”this is not a cockroach.”
it worked. after many many tries.

the gorgeous white sundress. yes, i know summer is over but still….hur hur. how about gorgeous off shoulders white sundress?
a growing dislike
for pants and jeans.
last year, i got my mum to shorten my capri pants so i can wear them as berms. this year, i feel like shortening my pants so i can wear them as capris.
it’s not that i hate covering my legs. i would prefer to cover them in long, flowy dresses, that’s all.
there’s something about the weather that makes me wanna dress as light weight as possible and pants and jeans weigh me down. not to mention that the general public prefers me in dresses. haha.
leggings on the other hand should be the new pants. they’re the most comfortable thing ever and nothing the fashion mags say will make me ditch them. ever.
so, a decision was made, when i took a look at my discouraging wardrobe a few days ago.
pants and jeans will be out of my life by the end of 2008. i’ll never wear them again. i know it’s a little dramatic but pants just don’t make me feel the way dresses do.
so in order to maintain my happiness level, pants will be altered or given away to make way for the uber gorgeous, ultra flattering dresses that will represent the bloom, vibrancy and greenery of my name.

bag lady
i’m not a fan of IT bags but i do appreciate some really fabulous looking designer bags – they’re usually not IT. anything too commercialised puts me off.
even if i had the $$, i might not buy it because my conscience tells me i shouldn’t be carrying a bag that cost enough to feed a small village. it’s a mental struggle.
but there is one bag that will make me ignore the picking of my heart.
the lovely, understated in all it’s glory, chanel classic flap bag.
i’ll need no other bag if i have this. really. this is the perfect for all occasion, wear-it-till-you’re-60-and-the-bag-will-still-be-a-classic bag.

magazine covers
i don’t know about you.
but the cover of local magazines, elle and female, caught my attention recently. especially love elle’s cover [with a leggy model dressed in a miu miu dress]. love the colours used in female mag cover.
i’m a big fan of magazine covers. sometimes, it is the driving force behind why i buy a magazine.
female, elle, project smitten and beauty blackbook have some of the more gorgeous covers around.
and the worst are of course, cleo (it looks tacky), her world (very boring) and women weekly (it looks like not much effort was put to it).
very tempted to subscribe to female magazine because the welcome gift is a jurlique hamper worth $387. how worth it is that?
love the revamped female. this is one of the few local magazines that went through countless revamp and new editors over the last 10 years. it used to bore me when i was a teen but every revamp made it so much better and interesting.
i’d say the current female is the best so far. it’s so fashion-mative!
